For my fifteenth birthday I wanted to do something unique that all of my friends would enjoy and what teenage girl doesn't love fashion?

INVITATIONS: So for the invitations I cut out the pockets of some old pairs of jeans and then slipped the invitations inside them. On the invitations I had all the information about when to meet, where to meet, and that everyone had to bring $20.

DECORATIONS: I made the living room into a runway with a couch and chairs on each side for people to sit and watch the show.

ACTIVITIES: As people began to arrive I handed out some plain brown journals that I'd bought at a craft store for only a couple dollars each and everyone had a wide choice of markers, stickers, and paints to decorate their journals with. I have a very artsy group of friends. I could only invite five people which was perfect for my plans.

Once everyone arrived at around 5:00 P.M. we loaded up into the car and drove to the nearest thrift store. We divided up into three teams of two and the challenge was that everyone had to buy a back to school outfit using only their twenty dollars. We had only 45 minutes to complete the challenge. Everyone found some great deals and it was an absolute blast! Once everyone had their outfits we headed home and everyone changed into them.

Then we turned up the runway music and took turns cheering each other on as we strutted down the home-made runway. Everyone munched on some pizza while the show went on. My mom videotaped the whole thing. Once everyone had their turn showing their stuff we all voted for the cutest back to school outfit and the winning team of girls who got the most votes won a $10 gift card to Starbucks.

CAKE: The cake was fairly simple with pink frosting and some flowers to spiff it up. While we ate the cake my mom turned our fashion show video footage into an iMovie and we watched it and had a lot of laughs! Everyone's favorite part was showing off their cheap but hott new clothes.

People would be surprised how many cute clothes you can find at a thrift store for less than $20. It was starting to get dark by the time we were finished so we all went on the trampoline and looked at the stars while playing truth or dare.

PARTY SNACKS: Then we came inside for some fondue (chocolate covered strawberries, bananas, graham crackers, and marshmallows). To top it all off we watched Miss Congeniality.

FAVORS: Everyone couldn't stop talking about how much fun it was and as a party favor my mom made one fashion show DVD for every girl to take home. They also kept their awesome journals.

The next morning everyone packed up their things after a delicious cinnamon roll breakfast. Not only was this party absolutely unforgettable, it was cheap and I spent less than a hundred dollars putting it together.
